Verizon Customers: You May Be Eligible For A Tax Refund
April 2, 2007
Verizon was unnecessarily taxing many long distance and wireless services customers from 2003-2006. Luckily Verizon was challenged to stop. But they didn’t offer to give you the money back, did they?
If you were a customer during that period, you may be entitled to a refund between $30-60.
In general, any individual, business, or nonprofit organization, which paid federal excise tax on long distance or wireless bundled service, is eligible for the telephone tax refund, and can receive it for service billed after February 28, 2003 and before August 1, 2006.
Read this PDF file from Verizon. It explains eligibility requirements.
Make sure your tax preparation specialist is aware - Many are not!
Go ahead, claim that money you are entitled to! Tell your family and friends before they file their tax returns. Time is running out.
Good luck!
